ABOUT THE LSF

The Latino Student Fund (LSF) was founded in 1994 to address disparities in access to education for underrepresented students in Washington, DC, and has since served more than 4,000 youth across its programs.

Our Mission

Provide opportunities for a strong academic foundation for underserved PreK-12th grade students and their families to promote higher education and professional leadership. The organization provides year-round, out-of-school-time programs for low-income, at-risk students and their families with the goal of increasing levels of educational attainment in the community.

All of our volunteer opportunities are in-person again! Whether your passion is tutoring, college prep, mentoring a graduating high school senior, or volunteering at one of our many events, we have a program to fit your schedule and goals.

One-on-one tutoring with a K-12 grade student: tutors can sign up for 2 hours on Saturday mornings. Contact tutoringprogram@latinostudentfund.org

Mentoring with Te Guio, 9th & 10th graders: mentors can join the program Monday – Thursday from 4 pm through 5 pm. Contact teguio@latinostudentfund.org
